IN REVIEW: Lucid Ending

We've been checking out the track Erika from rock band Lucid Ending. 

Lucid Ending are an alternative rock band from Alberta in the US comprised of Trevor Ahmet on vocals and lead guitar plus Steve Mahoney who plays rhythm guitar and has produced the track (he's also produced tracks for the Mass Effect: Andromeda soundtrack! Stand down, nerds!)

So what do we think of the track? 

It's a nice all round rock track - it's not overly complicated but then not all songs need to be! We think the vocals could do with being a bit crustier in places, almost feels a bit too clean to be a hard rock tune... and almost makes it a little dull in places where you'd expect it to really be cranked up a notch.

In summary we'd say it feels like one of those simple songs you'd play on Guitar Hero and not really know who the band was. Definitely not a bad song, but not sure it's one that would stay in our playlist for long.
